Geumsan ginseng captivated local visitors at the Museum Embankment Festival in Frankfurt, Germany.

Geumsan County promoted Geumsan ginseng at the Museum Embankment Festival held in Frankfurt, Germany, from August 29 to August 31, 2025.

At this festival, known as the largest cultural event in Europe, the county operated a promotional booth, showcasing and selling ginseng products, offering hands-on experience programs, and providing tastings of ginseng desserts, all of which received an enthusiastic response.

The delegation, led by Geumsan Deputy County Governor Heo Changdeok, ran the promotional booth during their visit and focused on promoting Geumsan together with local staff.

Thanks to the growing interest in K-Food, Geumsan ginseng received high praise for its health benefits and diverse applications, attracting significant attention not only from German locals but also from international tourists.

Through this promotional booth, the county confirmed the potential for Geumsan ginseng to enter the European market and plans to further solidify its foundation for globalization.

Prior to this, on August 27, the county signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Panasia, the largest Asian food distributor in Europe, agreeing to collaborate on promoting and expanding the distribution of Geumsan ginseng.

To date, Panasia has distributed Geumsan ginseng products worth a total of 700 million won to support Geumsan ginseng's entry into the European market.

Through this agreement, both sides will actively cooperate on joint marketing and expanding distribution networks. Panasia also plans to further invigorate Geumsan ginseng distribution by importing approximately 87,000 dollars worth of ginseng liquor and red ginseng concentrate in the future.

In addition, the Geumsan County delegation visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Frankfurt, the Chungnam Germany Office, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Frankfurt office, and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) Germany branch to strengthen overseas market development and global promotional networks.

Deputy County Governor Heo Changdeok stated, "Through our participation in this festival and visits to key institutions, we were able to confirm both the potential for Geumsan ginseng to enter the European market and the growing brand recognition. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen global promotional activities in connection with the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival so that Geumsan can be established as the world capital of ginseng."
