Recruitment Open on "LG Careers" Until September 22
R&D and Sales & Marketing to Strengthen Future Competitiveness
LG Electronics Adopts Rolling Recruitment Since Late 2020
LG Electronics is launching a recruitment drive for new employees in the second half of the year to discover new talent. The company aims to proactively secure individuals who will lead its future, responding actively to an uncertain business environment caused by market changes due to U.S. tariffs and delays in the recovery of home appliance demand.
According to industry sources on August 31, LG Electronics will conduct recruitment for new employees in the second half of the year, as well as the industry-academic scholarship program "LGE Members," through the LG Group recruitment portal "LG Careers" until September 22.
The recruitment areas include research and development (R&D) fields aimed at strengthening future competitiveness, such as robotics, software, materials, telecommunications, mechanical engineering, and electrical and electronic engineering, as well as sales and marketing.
Since the second half of 2020, LG Electronics has been conducting rolling recruitment, allowing applicants to apply for desired job categories or positions year-round, rather than holding large-scale open recruitment. The company is recruiting new graduates and experienced professionals for each position, especially during periods when hiring is typically concentrated, such as graduation season. This approach is intended to maintain the flexibility of rolling recruitment while reducing the inconvenience for applicants who may find it difficult to predict recruitment timelines.
Starting September 1, LG Electronics will also hold job and recruitment briefings at 12 universities nationwide, including Korea University, Pusan National University, Sogang University, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul National University, Sookmyung Women's University, Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, KAIST, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Hanyang University, and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). Current employees and HR managers will participate to help prospective applicants better understand the company and answer their questions.
Previously, LG Electronics has consistently made efforts to secure outstanding talent despite challenging conditions such as the economic downturn. In June, the company invited top overseas talent in the field of artificial intelligence to the "North America Tech Conference," where key executives such as CTO Kim Byunghoon (Vice President) and CHO Kim Wonbum (Vice President) introduced the company's R&D vision and technological leadership. In April, CEO Cho Joo Wan visited Seoul National University to deliver a special lecture to 200 students from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
