Pocheon City Appoints Actor Lee Junggil as Promotional Ambassador

Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyun) announced on the 30th that on the 29th, at the mayor's office in city hall, actor Lee Junggil, who is also the president of the Korea Professional Park Golf Association, was appointed as the ambassador of Pocheon City.

This appointment ceremony was held together with the signing of a business agreement for mutual cooperation in park golf. The event was attended by nine people, including Mayor Baek Younghyun, Director of Culture and Welfare Lee Yunhaeng, other city officials, and representatives from the Korea Professional Park Golf Association.

Actor Lee Junggil debuted in 1965 as a KBS public recruitment talent and has appeared in numerous works such as the dramas "Daffodil," "Eyes of Dawn," and "White Tower," earning great popularity from the public. He is currently serving as the president of the Korea Professional Park Golf Association, working to expand the base of park golf and promote sports welfare.

Pocheon City expects that, through this appointment, Ambassador Lee Junggil's extensive experience in broadcasting and cultural activities, as well as his expertise in park golf, will have a positive promotional effect in various areas, including park golf tournaments and city government publicity.

Mayor Baek Younghyun stated, "I hope Ambassador Lee Junggil will be active in various fields such as culture, sports, and welfare in Pocheon City," adding, "Pocheon City will also do its best to establish a foundation for recreational sports, including the construction of park golf courses for citizens."
