Creative Experience Space Combining Play and AI Learning
Established Inside the Baekje Military Museum
Nonsan in South Chungcheong Province has taken a leap forward as a future education city that nurtures children's dreams.
On August 29, the Nonsan city government announced that it had opened the "Children's AI Imagination Playground" within the Baekje Military Museum on August 28.
With this, Nonsan has become home to the nation's first creative experience attraction that combines play and learning, technology and imagination.
The Imagination Playground is composed of the "Children's AI Imagination Playground" and "A Day in the Future City."
"AI Adventure" is an experiential play space designed to stimulate all five senses. Here, children can not only play, but also naturally understand the principles of artificial intelligence technology by moving their bodies and engaging with the environment.
Interactive games using the walls and floors, as well as experience programs that recognize hand gestures and facial expressions, have been prepared, allowing children to become fully immersed as if embarking on an adventure.
"A Day in the Future City" is an open learning space themed around advanced technology. In a virtual city created by AI, children can directly manipulate "smart transportation, energy, and living environments," experiencing what society might look like in the future.
This is a space open to all citizens, where not only children but also parents, teenagers, and the general public can see and touch future technologies firsthand.
The city expects this place to become a "future education hub" that connects children's imagination and creativity to reality, rather than simply being an experience center.
Mayor Baek Seonghyeon said, "Of all investments, the most valuable and enjoyable is the investment in children," adding, "I hope the AI Imagination Playground becomes a place for children to rest, learn, and nurture new dreams."
