Elevating the Value of Ready-to-Eat Kimchi Stew
On August 28, Lotte Hotel & Resort announced the launch of its premium ready-to-eat meal, "Lotte Hotel Kimchi Stew," made using Lotte Hotel's signature kimchi.
Lotte Hotel Kimchi Stew elevates its premium value by using ingredients carefully selected by hotel chefs. The broth is crafted from kimchi aged with Yeongyang red pepper powder and natural Korean ingredients such as salted shrimp, hwangseogeojot (fermented yellow corvina), and fresh shrimp. Domestic pork shoulder is used to add a tender texture and rich flavor.
The product development process involved Lotte Hotel chefs, including Master Chef Kim Songgi. According to the company, the optimal taste was achieved through approximately three years of tasting and feedback.
The product is available for purchase through the company’s online mall, "Lotte Hotel e-SHOP," and sales channels will be expanded to major offline stores in the future. A representative from Lotte Hotel & Resort stated, "We have recreated kimchi stew, a staple of Korean dining tables, with our own recipe so that it can be easily and conveniently enjoyed at home. We plan to continue expanding our lineup of premium kimchi products tailored to diverse customer lifestyles."
