The city of Sejong announced on August 25 that it will be recruiting surveyors responsible for on-site survey work for the 2025 Population and Housing Census until September 17.
The Population and Housing Census, conducted every five years under the supervision of Statistics Korea, collects comprehensive information on population, households, and housing at the town, township, and neighborhood level. The data serves as a foundation for policy-making and is utilized by research institutions.
The 2025 Population and Housing Census will be conducted from October 22 to November 18 through online surveys, telephone interviews, and in-person visits by surveyors. Surveyors will visit 32,703 households selected as sample targets and conduct face-to-face interviews on a total of 42 questions, including 31 questions related to population and 11 questions related to households.
A total of 157 surveyors will be recruited. Anyone aged 18 or older who resides in the region and has a sense of responsibility for statistical surveys is eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted via the recruitment announcement on the city hall website or the Population and Housing Census website. Successful candidates will be notified individually by text message after September 24.
Lee Yongil, Director of Planning and Coordination, stated, "We hope that many sincere and responsible Sejong citizens will apply, so that we can hear valuable responses in the Population and Housing Census."
