Government Employees Pension Service to Hold Career Lecture for Children of Public Officials

The Government Employees Pension Service announced on the 22nd that it will hold a career lecture for middle and high school students on the 23rd at the Areum-dong Complex Community Center in Sejong City, targeting approximately 600 family members of Sejong City public officials.


This career lecture is part of the family-friendly support initiatives within the welfare programs for public officials. The event will feature two sessions: "Finding the Right Career Path in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Understanding the College Admissions System" for middle school students, and "Understanding the Changed College Admissions System for 2026-2028 and Strategies for Early Admissions" for high school students. After the lectures, one-on-one online career counseling will also be provided.


Park Wangcheol, Director of the Welfare Headquarters at the Government Employees Pension Service, stated, "I hope that this career lecture will serve as an opportunity for families to reflect on their children's career paths together and better understand them," adding, "We will continue to expand various welfare programs to strengthen communication and harmony among family members."


Meanwhile, the Service is operating family-friendly support programs to promote work-life balance, including children's job experience activities, career lectures, and communication camps. In addition, it is pursuing 14 initiatives to support childbirth and parenting for public officials, as well as to enhance their physical and mental health and cultural leisure, such as parenting lectures, parenting relief camps, and hobby learning courses.
