760 Won Sale for Three Days from August 22 to 24
Direct Shipping from Sinjindo, Gyeokpo, Beopseongpo, and More
Coupang Rocket Fresh will hold its "Autumn Blue Crab Special Event" until September 1. As the three major hypermarkets have entered a price war down to 10-won units, Coupang is selling blue crabs at 760 won per 100g, matching the price offered by Emart, which has also launched a lowest-price campaign.
According to Coupang on August 22, this year's blue crab event will expand the direct-shipping regions to five locations: Sinjindo, Gyeokpo, Beopseongpo, Shinan, and Jindo. The company also plans to nearly double its purchase volume compared to last year's blue crab season.
Coupang's direct-shipping service delivers seafood from producing regions such as Jindo and Wando to customers up to 400 to 500 kilometers away within half a day. Blue crabs unloaded at dawn are inspected, packaged, and labeled at mini logistics centers, then moved to delivery camps to arrive at customers' doorsteps the next morning.
Main products include: ▲FishOne Sinjindo Direct-Shipping Traceable Fresh Blue Crab 3kg ▲West Coast Premium Fresh Blue Crab 3kg ▲Eobushim West Coast Fresh Blue Crab 2kg. For the FishOne Sinjindo Direct-Shipping Traceable Fresh Blue Crab 3kg product, customers can check the production area, packaging date, and producer information via a QR code.
The prices are the lowest in the industry. Coupang is offering blue crabs at 760 won per 100g with card discounts from August 22 to 24. From August 25 to September 1, the price will be 990 won per 100g with card discounts. Previously, Emart announced it would sell blue crabs at 760 won per 100g from August 22 to 24. Homeplus is selling at 790 won per 100g during the same period, while Lotte Mart is offering them at 992 won per 100g.
A Coupang representative stated, "Following last year's sold-out success, we plan to double the supply and expand sourcing regions to provide greater benefits to consumers. We also expect to promote regional co-growth by expanding sales channels for local fishermen and fostering mutual prosperity."
