Declaration of 'AI Driven Company' at First DX Town Hall
Six Key Focus Areas Including AI Innovation Across All Products and Services
Emphasis on Discovering New Growth Engines and Securing Next-Generation Technology Leadership
Roh Tae-moon, Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division and President of Samsung Electronics, stated, "We will fundamentally transform our business around artificial intelligence (AI) and reinvent ourselves as an 'AI Driven Company' that works and grows through AI."
According to the industry on August 21, Roh presented this vision during the town hall meeting "2025 DX Connect" held at Samsung Electronics' Suwon campus. The meeting was themed "The Future Direction of the DX Division." This event marked his first attendance at a division-wide town hall since assuming the role of acting head in April.
During the event, Roh unveiled the DX Division's 2030 strategy and introduced a new way of working developed together with employees. He said, "With the rapid advancement and spread of AI, the electronics industry is evolving at an unprecedented pace," adding, "It is time to reassess and redefine our business strategies, ways of working, and points of contact with customers."
The 2030 strategic directions he outlined include: ▲ Leading innovation based on AI (AI Driven Company), ▲ Transforming into a sustainable business structure by discovering new growth engines (Bold Growth), and ▲ Securing robust business capabilities based on technology, manufacturing, and quality (Core Strength).
He also identified six key focus areas to support these goals: ▲ AI innovation across all products and services, ▲ Enhancing work productivity through AI, ▲ Fostering large-scale new businesses, ▲ Expanding new growth engines in each business unit, ▲ Securing next-generation technology leadership, and ▲ Strengthening development, manufacturing, and quality competitiveness based on AI and data.
Roh emphasized, "We will deeply embed a culture throughout the organization that encourages bold attempts and the sharing of ideas, rooted in our DNA of challenge and innovation, and foster an environment where everyone can work with passion."
Concluding the event, he remarked, "It was a valuable opportunity to discuss the division's direction together with our employees," and pledged to continue open communication in the future.
