SKT Launches Subscription Product for Olive Young, Starbucks, and Emart24: "Up to 60,000 KRW in Monthly Benefits"

On August 21, SK Telecom announced the launch of an integrated lifestyle subscription product that offers up to 60,000 KRW in benefits at Olive Young, Starbucks, and Emart24 for a monthly fee of 9,900 KRW. This product will be available on the T Universe subscription platform starting August 27.

Olive Young provides benefits worth up to 10,000 KRW every month. Subscribers receive a 4,000 KRW mobile voucher usable at Olive Young’s official online mall and offline stores, as well as a 3,000 KRW discount coupon that can be used on purchases over 20,000 KRW. Additionally, a free shipping coupon worth 2,500 KRW, valid for the official online mall, is provided each month. This coupon can be used for any single item purchase as long as the payment amount is at least 3,000 KRW.


Starbucks offers a 20% discount on handcrafted beverages, with a daily limit of 5,000 KRW and a monthly limit of 30,000 KRW. The discount can be used at Starbucks locations nationwide via Siren Order. Emart24 provides a 200 KRW discount for every 1,000 KRW spent in-store, with a daily limit of 4,000 KRW and a monthly limit of 20,000 KRW.


SKT is running a promotional event to celebrate the product launch. Customers who subscribe to the product between August 27 and 31 will receive an additional 2,000 KRW Olive Young gift card, a free tall-sized Starbucks Caffe Americano coupon, and a 2,000 KRW Emart24 discount coupon. After subscribing, customers can apply for these benefits on the launch promotion event page within T Universe.


SKT customers can receive additional discounts on the product depending on their mobile plan. Customers on the 5GX Prime plan can choose one of four T Universe Pass products and receive a 5,000 KRW discount. Those on the 5GX Prime Plus plan or higher can use this product free of charge.


SKT expects this new product to generate demand in the subscription market, which has traditionally focused on OTT services. The company particularly anticipates increased customer inflow among women in their 20s and 30s who prefer practical, everyday benefits.


Seo-Young Na, Head of Subscription Products at SKT, stated, "This partnership combines benefits from brands frequently used by customers in their 20s and 30s, setting a new standard for the subscription experience," adding, "T Universe will continue to lead a diverse subscription culture by introducing differentiated products in collaboration with premium brands."
