The Association of Mayors, County Governors, and District Heads of Korea (Chairman: Jo Jaegu, Mayor of Nam-gu, Daegu) signed a business agreement with the Korea Vacant House Managers Association on the 19th in the conference room on the second floor of Nam-gu Office, Daegu.
This agreement was established as part of efforts to address population decline and the risk of local extinction. The aim is to build a public-private cooperation system between the Association and the Korea Vacant House Managers Association to efficiently manage vacant houses nationwide, promote the development of joint policies, and revitalize local communities. Furthermore, by utilizing each other's diverse field experience, capabilities, human and material resources, and networks, the agreement seeks to promote the sustainable development of local areas.

The signing ceremony was attended by Jo Jaegu, Chairman of the Association, Jeon Sangseon, President of the Korea Vacant House Managers Association, and other related officials. The parties agreed to continue cooperating on vacant house surveys and information sharing, policy development, operation and support of education and publicity programs, strengthening the vacant house management capabilities of local governments, and improving laws and systems.
Chairman Jo Jaegu emphasized, "Due to local extinction, the vacant house issue significantly affects the local community's environment, safety, and image, and there are many difficulties in managing vacant houses in local areas. With this agreement as an opportunity, we will actively support and cooperate through efficient management and joint response to vacant houses by strengthening public-private cooperation."
