Mayor Shin Sangjin Observes Integrated Response Drill
Encourages Participants in National Critical Facility Terrorism Preparedness Exercise
On the afternoon of August 19, Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin attended the 'Integrated Response Drill for Terrorism Preparedness at National Critical Facilities' held at the Bundang Center of the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, where he encouraged the participants.

This drill was conducted as part of the Ulchi Exercise, with the aim of strengthening the ability to respond to terrorist threats at the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, a national critical facility. In particular, the focus was on enhancing integrated response capabilities by inspecting the cooperation system among related organizations.
After observing the drill, Mayor Shin stated, "Thanks to the dedicated efforts of everyone in the public sector, military, police, and fire departments, our citizens can enjoy a safe and peaceful daily life," adding, "True peace and the secure lives of our citizens are firmly supported by this kind of continuous preparedness."
He went on to say, "I deeply appreciate all those who participated in the drill despite the hot weather, especially members of the military, police, and fire departments. We will widely share the significance of this drill with citizens to raise national security awareness and use this as an opportunity to recognize the importance of preparedness in everyday life."

In addition to Mayor Shin Sangjin, the drill was attended by key institution heads including the Central Controller of the Ulchi Exercise from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Audit Officer of the Financial Services Commission, the President of the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, the Commander of the 55th Infantry Division, the Base Defense Commander of the 15th Special Mission Flying Group, the Commander of the 170th Brigade, the Chief of Bundang Police Station, the Chief of Bundang Fire Station, and the Head of Bundang District Office. In total, about 200 people from nine organizations participated.
