Guro District has built a collaborative system with the Guro District Public Health Center, the Guro Career Experience Support Center, and the High School Career Teachers’ Association, and supports practical job experiences in connection with local healthcare and medical institutions such as hospitals, pharmacies, fire stations, and public health centers.

In the first half of the year, 46 students from three schools-Guro High School, Sindorim High School, and Gueil High School-participated. The students reported a high level of satisfaction, saying that the program gave them an opportunity to consider their career paths more concretely.

In the second half of the year, 31 students from three schools-Guhyeon High School, Oryu High School, and Wooshin High School-will participate, divided into the fourth session (August 13-19) and the fifth session (September 1-12). Each session will include around 15 students and will run for four weeks. The program consists of a career special lecture in the first week, meetings with mentors from various fields in the second week, workplace visits in the third week, and a completion ceremony and hands-on activities in the fourth week.

In particular, during the final week, students will receive cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training in partnership with the Guro Fire Station, as well as youth psychological education organized by the Guro District Mental Health Welfare Center. These activities are designed to help students develop both crisis response skills and stress management capabilities.

Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro District, stated, "I hope that through the process of directly experiencing and learning about different careers, young people will be able to set a direction for their future and gain confidence." He added, "We will continue to expand opportunities for diverse career experiences going forward."
