Luxury Spaces Created with 110 Billion KRW Investment
Live Cooking, Massage Chairs, Showers, and Meeting Rooms
Expanded Total Area and Dramatically Increased Capacity

Upon entering the Korean Air lounge, you are greeted with the ambiance of a luxury hotel lobby. Five-star hotel chefs prepare not only Korean and Western cuisine, but also gimbap, which has recently gained popularity overseas due to the influence of K-pop, all made fresh to order. There are also spaces such as massage chair areas, showers, and meeting rooms, allowing both passengers seeking relaxation and those needing to work to fully enjoy the lounge.

On August 14, Korean Air unveiled its new lounges in the duty-free area of Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 (T2): the 'Myler Club Lounge' and the 'Prestige East (Right) Lounge.' The official opening date for both lounges is August 18.

At the newly introduced Myler Club and Prestige East lounges, guests can enjoy a 'Live Station' where current chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon prepare dishes on the spot. This is the first time Korean Air has introduced a live station in its airport lounges. The live station menu is updated quarterly, featuring seasonal ingredients.

The Korean cuisine corner offers freshly made gimbap, which has become globally renowned following the release of the Netflix animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' Locally sourced Korean agricultural products, including organic rice from Jeongseon, are primarily used. Guests can also enjoy freshly cooked tteokguk (rice cake soup) and banquet noodles. For Western cuisine, pizza and croissants are made and baked on-site, and guests can savor beef steak carved by the chef. At the liquor bar, a resident bartender serves cocktails, beer, and other alcoholic beverages. The Myler Club Lounge also features coffee crafted by a barista.

Beyond dining, the lounge offers a variety of spaces to accommodate different needs, such as relaxation or work. The 'Wellness' area is a private zone equipped with massage devices for a secluded rest. A 'Tech Zone' is available for using laptops and other electronic devices, and a 'Meeting Room' allows for meetings on a large screen. The showers provide spacious areas with separate powder rooms and shower booths, and are stocked with premium brand shower products.

The interior design, inspired by Korean aesthetics, is also noteworthy. The space features a palette of gold, charcoal, black, and ivory, with sophisticated lighting to create a luxurious atmosphere. Structures inspired by traditional Korean materials, such as hanok pillars, are placed throughout, while lounge tables made of premium wood and marble add a sense of stability. Artworks and photographs reminiscent of clouds in the sky provide visual enjoyment for guests.

On August 18, Korean Air will also open the new 'Prestige Garden Lounge' alongside the two previously mentioned lounges. This lounge is located in the newly established east and west wingtip areas, created as part of Incheon Airport's fourth-phase expansion. The Prestige Garden Lounge features a simple design concept and offers Korean and Western cuisine, a salad bar, and bakery items. However, it does not offer a live station. From this lounge, guests can view an outdoor garden inspired by a traditional Korean garden (east side) or a modern Western-style garden (west side).

In the first half of next year, Korean Air plans to sequentially open the 'First Class Lounge,' 'Prestige East (Left) Lounge,' and 'Prestige West Lounge.' Notably, the Prestige East (Left) Lounge will feature a family-friendly concept, with amenities such as a photo booth, arcade games, MBTI game booth, chocolate fountain, DIY dessert corner, seasonal cookie-making sessions, and a nursing room.

Once the renovations are complete, the total area of Korean Air lounges in T2 will expand from 5,105 square meters to approximately 12,270 square meters, nearly 2.5 times larger. The total number of lounge seats will increase from 898 to 1,566.

Globally, the Los Angeles Airport lounge will be expanded to two floors by the end of January next year. The first-class lounge will be decorated in the style of Bel Air, a luxury neighborhood in Los Angeles. In June of next year, with the opening of the new terminal at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport, a grand lounge reminiscent of sophisticated Gotham City will also open.

David Pace, Vice President of Korean Air's In-flight Meal Tray and Lounge Division, stated, "The investment in the Incheon lounges amounts to approximately 110 billion KRW, while the Los Angeles Airport lounge is about 45 million USD (62.3 billion KRW), and the John F. Kennedy Airport lounge is about 55 million USD (76.1 billion KRW). The best professionals will welcome our guests to ensure they feel as comfortable and delighted as if they were at home."
