This contest centers on three key themes: liberation, peace, and freedom. It is an event where children are encouraged to freely express their imagination through drawing. The venue will be the Jeongok-ri Paleolithic Site in Yeoncheon, which is renowned for its Paleolithic cultural heritage.

Applications are open from July 21 to September 1. Any child nationwide can participate for free if they are in the kindergarten division (born in 2019 or later) or the elementary division (born between 2013 and 2018). Registration can be completed through the National Children's Drawing Contest Naver Form.

The contest will take place on September 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants are required to bring their own art supplies, mats, lunchboxes, and other personal items. Drawing paper in the 5-gak size will be provided on site by the organizers.

Entries will be judged in three categories: kindergarten, lower elementary, and upper elementary. First-place winners in each category will receive the Yeoncheon County Mayor's Award and a prize of 300,000 won. Second-place winners will receive the Yeoncheon County Council Chairperson's Award and a prize of 200,000 won. Third-place winners will receive the Yeoncheon Office of Education Superintendent's Award and a prize of 100,000 won. In addition, 27 participants will receive honorable mentions with certificates and souvenirs. There will be a total of 30 winners per category and 90 winners overall.

Judging will be conducted through both on-site voting and evaluations by experts, including members of the Korean Fine Arts Association. The final winners will be determined by combining the results of both methods. Completed artworks will be exhibited at the Jeongok-ri Site from September 13 to 20, and the final results will be announced at the awards ceremony on September 20 at 6:00 p.m.

Kim Deokhyeon, Mayor of Yeoncheon County, stated, "This contest will be a meaningful opportunity for children to naturally learn about the history of liberation and the importance of peace through art. I hope that many children from across the country will participate and enjoy a fun and meaningful day in Yeoncheon."
