B1 Route to Run Every 10 Minutes During Liberation Day and Weekend
Additional Buses Added for the 'Midnight Festival'
Daejeon City Enhances Public Transport Convenience for Citizens and Tourists
The interval between buses on the B1 route, which operates between Daejeon and Osong, will be reduced from 13 minutes to 10 minutes during the 'Daejeon Midnight Festival' period, with five additional vehicles deployed.
This measure has been implemented to accommodate the surge in transportation demand expected on August 15, Liberation Day, and over the weekend, as well as to prevent buses from bypassing stops due to increased passenger numbers.
Accordingly, for the B1 route, the first bus from Daejeon Station will depart at 5:30 a.m., and the last bus will depart at 11:40 p.m. From Osong Station, the first bus will depart at 5:20 a.m., and the last bus will depart at 11:30 p.m.
The Daejeon city government anticipates a significant increase in public transportation users as the 'Midnight Festival' gains popularity across the metropolitan area.
Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "We have shortened the bus intervals so that festival visitors can move more quickly and conveniently," adding, "We have enhanced public transportation convenience to ensure that citizens and tourists can enjoy the festival without inconvenience during Liberation Day and the weekend."
He also emphasized, "We will continue to improve integrated transportation services between Daejeon, Sejong, and other neighboring regions in the future."
