This opening is particularly significant as it establishes the seventh on-site hub to further strengthen the Gyoeui Line-centered tourism network, following the Comprehensive Tourist Information Center, Yangju Station, Hoeamsaji, Jangheung Tourist Site, Jo Soang Memorial Hall, and Onneung.

The 'Ilyeongyeok Tourist Information Center' serves as the very first gateway for visitors arriving in Yangju via the Gyoeui Line.

The center is staffed with resident guides who provide customized services, including city tours, themed travel, information and reservation consultations for major tourist attractions, and the distribution of tourist maps.

Additionally, the center houses a mini railway museum created by Korea Railroad Corporation. Sixteen artifacts that were actually used on the Gyoeui Line in the past-such as a mosaic control panel, token instruments, and commemorative tickets-are on display, allowing visitors to experience both the history and sentiment of the railway.

From the moment visitors step off the train, Ilyeongyeok offers a unique experience: analog railway artifacts, vivid explanations from professional guides, and friendly assistance, all designed to immerse guests immediately in the excitement of their journey.

In particular, the city expects the opening of the center to improve accessibility for Gyoeui Line tourists and increase their length of stay.

Furthermore, it is anticipated to positively influence the design of an emotional tourism route that organically connects Yangju’s unique cultural, natural, and experiential resources.

A Yangju City official stated, "The Ilyeongyeok Tourist Information Center will serve as the heart of on-site support, going beyond simple guidance to deeply convey the charm of Yangju," adding, "The professionalism and warm service of our guides will elevate the quality of tourism in Yangju."

Meanwhile, the city, in cooperation with the Seoul Headquarters of Korea Railroad Corporation and KORAIL Tourism Development Co., is operating a variety of Gyoeui Line-centered tourism products, such as the Sulle(Soorye) Excitement Train, Family Love Light Journey, Milky Najeon Tour, and Romantic Starry Night Train.
