According to Statistics Korea, the number of births from January to May this year reached 106,048, marking a 6.9% increase compared to the previous year. In particular, the number of births in April alone was 20,717, up 8.7% from the same month last year, recording the highest growth rate since 1991.

Additionally, as the 'VIB (Very Important Baby)' trend spreads, interest in the premium children's segment is growing. Gwangju Shinsegae will host a Baby Fair featuring a total of 32 popular domestic and international brands to meet this demand.

Leading brands participating in the Baby Fair, which will be held from August 14 to 17 on the basement first floor of the main building, include Britax, Baby Brezza, and Bebeluna.

One of the featured products at this Baby Fair is the Dualfix Pro Style newborn car seat from the global car seat brand Britax. Britax, known for manufacturing its products in Germany, uses an integrated wide spin disk in its car seats to minimize seat movement. The product is also highly regarded for its modern design and use of premium breathable materials, combining both style and functionality.

Baby Brezza, considered an essential parenting item for its ability to quickly prepare formula at the touch of a button, will also be available. Baby Brezza, the world's top-selling brand in the automatic formula maker category, recommends its Formula Pro Advanced Automatic Formula Maker at this event. It is well known as a must-have parenting product, as it can prepare formula in just seven seconds with a single touch, eliminating the need to repeat the formula-making process every two to three hours.

The Egg Sky stroller, recommended by Egg, a renowned British premium stroller brand, will also be featured. Launched in the first half of this year, the Sky stroller's compact 6.5kg size allows it to be carried on an airplane, making it highly portable. Despite its lightweight, it offers stable handling and can be used up to 36 months, making it a highly versatile option.

Duri, a baby product brand chosen by 11 million parents, will showcase its trolley diaper changing table at this event. Designed with ample storage space for an optimized diaper-changing workflow, this product features a sturdy structure that can withstand loads of up to 100kg to prevent falls, and four-sided guards up to 21cm high, making it a standout essential for parenting that combines safety and design.

During the Baby Fair, Gwangju Shinsegae has prepared a range of benefits, including discounts, free gifts, and point rewards. For example, Bebeluna will offer discounts of up to 73%, with each brand providing discounts ranging from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 73%.

Customers who spend more than 50,000 won will receive a reusable bag and a random gift. Additionally, those who spend over 300,000, 600,000, or 1,000,000 won will receive 7% of their total purchase amount as Shinbaek Reward Points. These points can be used like cash at Shinsegae Department Stores nationwide.

Kim Yooncheol, head of the fashion team at Gwangju Shinsegae, stated, "In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we've planned a Baby Fair packed with generous benefits," and added, "We hope many customers will take interest in the Baby Fair, where you can experience popular domestic and international children's brands in one place and receive free gifts."
