On August 13, the Korea Airports Corporation announced that it had conducted an airport experience program for 70 participants, including middle and university students from areas near the airport, at Gimpo Airport and the National Aviation Museum of Korea.
This two-day event, which began the previous day, was organized to provide youth from areas near airports in Seoul and Muan with a tour of Gimpo Airport and hands-on experience in aviation-related jobs. The goal was to broaden their career options and lay the foundation for mutual growth between the local community and the airport.

Participants practiced security screening on the third floor of the domestic terminal at Gimpo Airport, and then experienced various aviation jobs, such as in-flight training and air traffic control, at the National Aviation Museum of Korea. One-on-one career mentoring sessions with Korea Airports Corporation staff helped deepen their understanding of the aviation industry as a whole. In particular, the air traffic control simulation and in-flight safety procedure training-both of which are rarely accessible-were especially well received by participants.
Lee Jeonggi, Acting President of Korea Airports Corporation, stated, "I hope this airport experience program has become a valuable opportunity for youth to plan their futures. We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility through social contribution programs linked to the aviation industry."
