Will Jang Yubin Restore His Honor in the Final Tournament?

Aiming for His Best Finish of the Season in the Final Individual Event
Jang Yubin Challenges for a Top Spot After Tying for 21st in Rochester Last Month

Jang Yubin is aiming for a top finish in his final tournament.

From August 15 (local time), Jang will compete in the LIV Golf Indianapolis tournament, held over three days at The Club at Chatham Hills (par 71, 7,295 yards) in Westfield, Indiana, USA. The total prize money for the event is $20 million. This is the 13th tournament of the season and the final individual event, where the season champion will be determined.

Jang Yubin joined LIV Golf this year. After winning a gold medal in the men's team golf event at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, he received a military service exemption. Last year, he claimed two victories on the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour, earning both the money title and the Player of the Year award, before making the move to LIV Golf.

As the top player from Korea, high expectations were placed on him, but he has struggled to adapt to the local conditions. Up to last week's tournament in Chicago, he had played in 12 events but had yet to finish in the top 10. After tying for 39th place in Chicago, Jang Yubin will look to achieve his best result of the season in this final event. So far, his best finish has been a tie for 21st at last month's tournament in Rochester, England.
