Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) was recently certified as an "Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company 2025," taking the lead in spreading a workplace atmosphere of communication and cooperation within the local community.
The "Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company" certification is an award program organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, which recognizes workplaces that have taken the initiative in creating an organizational culture of mutual growth and coexistence. This year, following regional evaluations, a total of 40 companies were finally selected, including eight public institutions such as Gwangju Transportation Corporation.
For this certification, the corporation was recognized for its active efforts to foster a workplace atmosphere of communication and harmony, including maintaining a strike-free record for 22 years since its founding, resolving issues related to employee allowance payments in connection with ordinary wage lawsuits in a reasonable manner, and improving various systems to address wage gaps between different work types.
On August 11, President Cho Ikmun stated, "Being selected as an Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company is a proud achievement accomplished by all our employees together," and added, "We will continue to establish ourselves as a public corporation beloved by citizens through a culture of mutual growth and trust between labor and management."
