Korea Airports Corporation announced on August 8 that it will hold the "2025 Social Contribution Idea Contest," inviting public participation until August 21.
This contest is divided into two categories: the "Social Contribution Idea" category, open to all citizens and focused on creative ideas for building a warmer, more inclusive society; and the "Social Contribution Project" category, which targets nonprofit organizations.
In the Social Contribution Idea category, the contest seeks ideas for regional cooperation, revitalization of local economies, support for marginalized children and youth, responses to regional depopulation, and job creation. Through a judging process, one Grand Prize winner (1.5 million KRW), two Excellence Award winners (700,000 KRW each), and three Merit Award winners (200,000 KRW each) will be selected and awarded.
The Social Contribution Project category is seeking proposals for aviation camp programs designed to increase understanding of the aviation industry and provide career experience opportunities for youth living near airports. The corporation will provide a total of 100 million KRW in donations to the organizations ultimately selected to run these programs.
The corporation explained that it organized this contest to discover ideas for realizing social value in connection with its core business and to implement social contribution projects with high public impact through a participatory contest format.
Lee Jeonggi, Acting President of Korea Airports Corporation, stated, "Through this contest, we will actively discover sustainable social contribution models and promote projects that resonate with the public, working together to create a society where we share and grow together."
