'Daejeon City Tour Summer Bread City Tour'
Operates Every Saturday in August and Daily During the Zero Hour Festival
The "Bread Pilgrimage," an event that allows visitors to enjoy both Daejeon's bread and its culture, will be held to further enhance the excitement of the "Daejeon Zero Hour Festival."
Participating bakeries include Sung Sim Dang, Hare Hare, Slow Bread, Orange Blossom, and Canlicops House in Jung-gu. The "Daejeon City Tour Summer Bread City Tour" will be officially operated throughout August.
In particular, the program is drawing attention as a comprehensive city tour that combines gastronomy and urban exploration, as it is linked with Daejeon's signature summer event, the "Zero Hour Festival."
The "Bread City Tour" is divided into two types: the "Saturday Tour," which takes place every Saturday, and the "Festival Tour," which operates daily during the "Zero Hour Festival" period (from the 8th to the 16th), Daejeon's representative summer festival.
Participants will visit renowned bakeries in Daejeon's five districts (Dong-gu, Jung-gu, Seo-gu, Yuseong-gu, and Daedeok-gu), and can also enjoy simple experiences at local tourist attractions in each area.
The Saturday Tour departs from Daejeon Travel Lounge at 10 a.m. and lasts about five hours, while the Festival Tour starts at 1 p.m. from Daejeon Station East Square and continues until after 6 p.m., connecting to the Zero Hour Festival venue.
In particular, the "Festival Tour" is seamlessly connected to the Daejeon Zero Hour Festival program, allowing tourists to enjoy the city tour during the day and performances and parades in the evening. At the festival venue, there will also be prize events for city tour participants, giveaways of goods, and tastings of local specialties such as Kkumdori Ramen and Kkumdolcha, all designed to increase participant satisfaction.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "The Daejeon Bread City Tour is an attractive program not only for the MZ generation but also for families and visitors from outside the city. I hope everyone will enjoy Daejeon's bread and culture this summer and fully experience the excitement of the Zero Hour Festival."
