Three Departments: Facility Systems, Smart Electricity, and Architectural Construction
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education has officially begun recruiting foreign students for Jeonnam Mirae International High School, which is scheduled to open in March next year.
On July 31, the Office announced that it had conducted on-site interviews in Hanoi, Vietnam, from July 24 to 27 to select foreign students for Jeonnam Mirae International High School's 2026 academic year. This interview was the school's first official selection process targeting foreign students. The Office explained that it confirmed a high level of interest in studying in Korea during its visit.

The interviews focused on evaluating Korean language proficiency, understanding of Korea, and future academic plans. Both applicants and their parents participated, engaging in Q&A sessions about their motivation for studying abroad and their academic plans.
Jeonnam Mirae International High School will operate three departments: Facility Systems, Smart Electricity, and Architectural Construction. The school plans to strengthen the global career competencies of students with migrant backgrounds and foreign students through a practical curriculum that combines Korean language education with specialized vocational courses.
The Office is recruiting foreign students not only from Vietnam but also from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia, and is sequentially selecting students for the 2026 academic year in cooperation with local educational institutions. The admission process for students with migrant backgrounds residing in Korea will begin in November.
Kim Jongman, Director of Glocal Education Cooperation, stated, "Jeonnam Mirae International High School is a school that offers not just a study abroad experience, but opportunities for life transformation and global growth through education." He added, "We will continue to expand international educational cooperation and the recruitment of international students."
Meanwhile, the Office also participated in the "2025 Hanoi Korea Study Abroad Fair," held alongside the interviews, to promote admissions for the 2027 academic year.
