A Table of Korean Flavors and Memories: Value Korean Buffet 'Bokjugaeok' Debuts at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch

Reflecting the Korean Buffet Trend
A Heartfelt Home-Cooked Meal All in One Place

Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch will open a new Korean buffet restaurant, "Bokjugaeok," on the 10th floor dining area starting August 1, 2025.

Bokjugaeok, which occupies a space of 231 square meters (approximately 70 pyeong), has been created to meet the growing demand for enjoying Korean cuisine in a sincere and diverse way. It is introduced as a dining space that captures "taste," "experience," and "value for money" all at once.

Bokjugaeok is a premium Korean buffet that modernizes the generous home-cooked meal experience. It offers around 50 seasonal dishes, as well as rice cooked with "Joseonhyang Jinju," Korea's finest rice. In addition to well-prepared side dishes, the buffet features a balanced meal with meat, fish, soups, and stews, providing a dining experience that can be enjoyed by people of all generations.

The restaurant is particularly notable for its competitive pricing. For adults, the weekday price is 15,900 won, while weekends and public holidays are priced at 16,900 won. Elementary school students are charged 8,900 won, and preschool children 5,900 won. This allows customers to enjoy a high-quality meal at a reasonable price, positioning Bokjugaeok as a leading "value-for-money Korean buffet."

Bokjugaeok also offers a variety of experiential content. In the "Nostalgic Lunchbox Zone," a special section of the restaurant, guests can select their own side dishes to create a personalized lunchbox. The menu features nostalgic items such as stir-fried anchovies, stir-fried kimchi, and fried eggs, evoking the sentiment of the 1970s and 1980s. The space is also distinct from other dining areas, featuring a modern interpretation of traditional hanok aesthetics, as well as Korean elements like lucky pouches and bamboo rice scoops, creating a healing space that goes beyond just dining.

To celebrate the grand opening, a lottery event will be held for the first 1,000 guests from August 1 to August 3, 2025. Every participant will win a prize, with the first prize being a 24K gold coin (one don). All participants will also receive ice cream.

Jung Jooyoung, head of the food team at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch, stated, "Bokjugaeok is a dining concept that allows everyone to enjoy delicious and heartfelt Korean cuisine without burden. We expect it to establish itself as a Korean buffet that satisfies taste, quality, and price."

Bokjugaeok is a Korean cuisine-focused brand developed by Lotte GRS, and it is being introduced for the first time at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch.
