The opportunity is open to young people in Gyeonggi Province who aspire to start a caf? business. Applications will be accepted from August 7 to August 14, 2025.
The operation period is one year from the date of contract, with a possible extension of up to two years. The business will be located in the neighborhood facility on the first floor of the library, with a total area of 58.92 square meters.
Only young people with no prior entrepreneurial experience are eligible to apply. Additional points will be given to those who have work experience in a related industry or have completed entrepreneurship training.
Applicants interested in participating must download and complete the application form, proposal request form, and supporting qualification documents from the Gyeonggi Province website (gg.go.kr) or the Gyeonggi Youth Portal (youth.gg.go.kr) by August 14, 2025, and submit them via the designated link. All caf? staff must be young people aged 19 to 39 who reside in Gyeonggi Province at the time of application.
Gyeonggi Province plans to conduct a comprehensive assessment through a first-stage document review and a second-stage proposal evaluation, considering factors such as entrepreneurial motivation, caf? operation plans, and youth employment plans.
Oh Gwangseok, Director General of the Gyeonggi Province Office of Future Lifelong Education, explained, "We developed this entrepreneurship support model utilizing public facilities like Gyeonggi Library, taking into account that many young people, even after completing entrepreneurship training, are unable to actually start a business due to lack of funds and challenges during the preparation process."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province is also separately recruiting an operator for a convenience store to be located in the basement level 1 of Gyeonggi Library until August 6, 2025.
