Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on the 30th that an induction ceremony was held on the 29th for Yoo Jangsoo, CEO of Dongmak Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, as the 7th Honor Society member from Gokseong (159th in Jeollanam-do).
The Honor Society of the Community Chest of Korea is a 'high-value donor club' that leads the culture of sharing. Individuals can become members by donating at least 100 million won or pledging to donate 100 million won within five years. The induction ceremony was attended by Governor Cho Sangrae, Noh Dongil, President of the Jeollanam-do Community Chest of Korea, and Yoo Jangsoo, the new Honor Society member.
Yoo Jangsoo, CEO of Dongmak Agricultural Cooperative Corporation in Gokseong, has been consistently donating to support low-income residents in the region even before joining the Honor Society. The 100 million won donation to be delivered over the next five years will also be used to promote welfare projects for low-income residents in the county.
Yoo Jangsoo stated, "I am even happier to be able to practice sharing within the local community, and although these are difficult times, I hope we can overcome them together by joining forces."
Governor Cho Sangrae said, "I am grateful to CEO Yoo Jangsoo for his actions to spread the culture of sharing in the community," and added, "The donated funds will be used with care for neighbors in need within the county."
