Busan Student Education and Culture Center to Hold Youth Orchestra Summer Camp and Talent Sharing Concert

The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Student Education and Culture Center (Director Cha Jongho) will hold the '2025 Busan Gyomun Youth Orchestra Summer Camp and Talent Sharing Concert' from July 31 to August 2.

This event has been organized to enhance the musical performance skills of the 67 youth orchestra members and to instill the values of volunteerism and sharing.

The Busan Gyomun Youth Orchestra is the first orchestra affiliated with an education office in Korea, established by the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education in 2006. It identifies and nurtures talented students with outstanding musical abilities from elementary, middle, and high schools in the Busan area at an early stage, and fosters their cultural and artistic sensibilities through orchestra activities.

During the camp, participating students will focus on ensemble and group practice, and on the final day, they will visit Maryknoll Hospital and Bongsaeng Healing Hospital to present the 'Visiting Talent Sharing Concert.' This concert, divided into string and wind ensembles, is expected to provide students with an opportunity to practice social sharing through music education.

Director Cha Jongho stated, "I hope the students will remember that they can make the world warmer and more beautiful through music," and added, "We will continue to support programs that help students grow both in skill and character."
