The Ulju-gun public delivery app Meokkebi has launched an emergency bottled water support initiative for residents of Ulju-gun, Ulsan Metropolitan City, who are suffering from water supply disruptions due to record-breaking heavy rainfall that recently damaged local waterworks facilities.

Since July 21, continuous torrential rains have caused serious damage, including the destruction of water supply pipes in parts of Ulju-gun, resulting in a suspension of drinking water supply. Residents are experiencing significant difficulties not only in securing water for daily use but also in obtaining drinking water.

In response, Meokkebi urgently secured and delivered thousands of bottles of water to the affected areas in an effort to alleviate the inconvenience faced by Ulju-gun residents, who are also users of the public delivery app service. The supplies will be distributed sequentially through the cooperation of Ulju-gun Office, the Ulsan Small Business Association (headed by Kim Changuk), and Ulju-gun local riders (led by Bae Kyungdong).

Kim Joohyung, CEO of Meokkebi, stated, "We decided to provide emergency support out of a desire to be of some help to Ulju-gun residents who are experiencing great hardship in their daily lives due to the sudden heavy rainfall," and added, "Going forward, Meokkebi will continue to engage in a variety of social contribution activities as a public delivery app, aiming to grow together with not only local small businesses but also the broader community."

Meanwhile, Meokkebi operates public delivery app services in over 40 local governments nationwide, including Ulju-gun, Ulsan Metropolitan City, providing tangible benefits to both local small business owners and consumers.

In particular, since the signing of an agreement on May 22 in Ulju-gun, the order rate has surged by 250%, indicating rapid expansion of the service. This demonstrates that Meokkebi, as a locally focused platform, is achieving real results in the region.
