Anseong City announced on the 23rd that, in cooperation with H Energy Co., Ltd., a company specializing in renewable energy, it will build solar power plants and energy storage systems (ESS) on shared assets such as public parking lots adjacent to industrial complexes, idle administrative property, and the roofs of tenant companies, to supply electricity to local businesses at affordable rates.

Previously, in connection with the national policy task of promoting RE100 industrial complexes, the city included solar power generation business (D35) in the basic management plan for all industrial complexes in the city at the end of May. Recently, Anseong City also signed a business agreement with H Energy to establish a distributed energy specialized zone centered on industrial complexes.

The city has decided to use public land and the roofs of companies within industrial complexes as bases for expanding renewable energy. It plans to prioritize the installation of solar power plants and ESS at the parking lot of the recently completed 2nd Industrial Complex and on the roofs of tenant company buildings.

Companies participating in RE100 implementation can receive loan guarantees of up to 800 million won and interest reduction benefits through the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation. In addition, Gyeonggi Province offers 43 types of incentive programs, including energy efficiency, ESG management, facility improvement, and market development.

Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, stated, "In the long term, we will develop the entire city of Anseong as a distributed energy specialized zone," and added, "We will establish a model in which citizens and companies participate together to produce and share electricity."
