The Chungnam Provincial Council has formed the 'Special Committee for the Confirmation Hearing of the CEO Candidate for the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation' and has begun full-scale activities.
On July 21, the council held the first meeting of the special committee and elected Park Kiyoung (Gongju 2, People Power Party) as chairman and Lee Hyunsook (Proportional Representation, People Power Party) as vice chairman.
The special committee plans to hold a confirmation hearing on July 28 for Lee Gijin, the former Head of the Tourism Business Division at the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation, who has been recommended as the candidate for CEO.
During the hearing, the committee will comprehensively review the candidate's management capabilities, organizational leadership, policy planning and implementation abilities, expertise in the field of culture and tourism, as well as morality and integrity. The candidate's vision and ability to execute will also be key points of evaluation.
Chairman Park Kiyoung stated, "Culture and tourism are core growth engines for Chungnam," and added, "We will fairly and transparently verify the qualifications of the leader who will be responsible for the foundation, in line with the expectations of the residents."
He further emphasized, "We will evaluate from various perspectives whether the candidate can organically connect Chungnam's cultural, artistic, and tourism resources to create a synergistic effect."
