Available at 8,158 Locations Including Traditional Markets and Shopping Streets

Jungnang District in Seoul (District Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi) will begin accepting applications for the "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon" starting July 21, launching an initiative to stimulate local consumption and support economic recovery.

This consumption coupon is expected to help residents reduce their living expenses when they spend money in their neighborhoods, while also serving as a catalyst for a circular economy by boosting sales for small business owners and invigorating the local economy. The district is making a variety of efforts to ensure smooth distribution and a convenient usage environment, including expanding the number of participating merchants, improving user convenience, and strengthening promotional activities.

The consumption coupon can be used at a total of 8,158 Jungnang Sarang Gift Certificate merchants, including seven traditional markets within the district (Woorim Alley Market, Jungnang East Market, Dongwon Traditional General Market, Myeonmok Alley Market, Sagajeong Market, Dongwon Traditional Market, Jangmi Jeil Market) and eight alley-type shopping streets (Taeneung Alley-type Shopping Street, Sangbong Food Alley-type Shopping Street, Jangmi Flower Light Street Alley-type Shopping Street, Bongwoo Market Alley-type Shopping Street, Mukdong Dokkaebi Market Shopping Street, Sinnae Gugil Alley-type Shopping Street, Gyeomjae Hansingil Alley-type Shopping Street), as well as 1,800 "Jungnang Ttaenggyeoyo" delivery gift certificate merchants.

The coupon is valid at a wide range of businesses, including marts, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, hair salons, hospitals, pharmacies, academies, and convenience stores, as well as franchise outlets. However, it cannot be used at large supermarkets, department stores, certain directly operated large franchise stores, or online shopping malls. If received in the form of a Seoul Sarang Gift Certificate, it can also be used on the public delivery app "Ttaenggyeoyo." In addition, a special event will provide a 10,000 won rebate for users who place three orders of 20,000 won or more through "Ttaenggyeoyo."

Since July 18, the district has established a dedicated call center to provide guidance on application days, methods, and schedules, and is operating dedicated service counters at 16 local community centers during the application period. Starting July 28, a "visiting application service" will also be offered for seniors and people with disabilities, providing direct support to vulnerable groups who may have difficulty applying.

Ryu Gyeonggi, Mayor of Jungnang District, stated, "The Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon is an important tool to help stabilize residents' lives and invigorate the local economy," adding, "We will do our utmost to expand the range of participating stores and promote the program so that all residents can conveniently use it in their neighborhoods."
