KOTRA explained that, at the special exhibition venue, it also operated a "Specialized Trading Company Pavilion" in collaboration with three specialized trading companies, including RJC Holdings, to support the entry of 11 domestic companies specializing in secondary battery materials and automotive electronic parts into the Japanese market.
Aichi Prefecture, the host location of the "People and Automobile Technology Exhibition," is a hub of the automotive industry, home to major automakers such as Toyota and Mitsubishi, as well as about 19% of all Japanese auto parts manufacturers. This year's exhibition featured a total of 475 participating companies.
During the event, KOTRA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Aisin, a Japanese auto parts company, and agreed to promote cooperation for Korean companies to supply products to Aisin's global factories.
Park Yongmin, Head of KOTRA's Japan Regional Headquarters, said, "This exhibition served as a platform for cooperation, showcasing Korea's innovative technologies to the Japanese automotive industry, which is undergoing a full-scale shift toward electrification. Going forward, we will continue our support to expand business with Japanese companies operating not only in Japan but also in third countries such as the United States and India."
