Dongjak District in Seoul announced on July 14 that it has established a "Smart Integrated Queue Management System" in the civil service office of its new government building to provide residents with fast and convenient civil service.

In line with the relocation to the new government building, the district consolidated previously dispersed civil service departments into a single integrated civil service office. The smart system was introduced as a proactive measure to improve congestion and enhance waiting convenience.

Starting from July 14, the integration of department counters and the operation of the queue management system (including number issuing machines, display devices, calling devices, and an integrated information TV) will begin for the Civil Affairs and Passport Division and the Traffic Administration Division. The newly installed number issuing machines are kiosk-type, automatically issuing a ticket when the desired service is selected. In addition, features such as braille, sign language, and adjustable screen height have been implemented for the convenience of people with disabilities, allowing socially disadvantaged groups to use the system equally.

The queue management system is linked to the district office website and Alimtalk, enabling real-time access to waiting information from outside the civil service office if necessary.

To improve the efficiency of civil service operations, the number of queue display and calling devices has been significantly increased, and a new integrated information TV has been installed so that residents can easily check the status of each service queue at a glance. The integrated information TV also broadcasts videos containing district news, major projects, and event information, which is expected to enhance publicity for district administration.

Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak District, stated, "By establishing an integrated civil service office on the second floor of the new government building, we have introduced the integrated queue management system to improve the quality of civil service. We will continue to make efforts so that everyone can conveniently access civil administration services in the future."
