The OCI-KAIST MBA is notable for providing business administration education specifically to engineers and researchers working at OCI’s business sites and research centers nationwide, including Pohang, Gwangyang, Gunsan, and Seongnam.
The 32 graduates of the 2nd class completed a total of 104 hours of coursework, consisting of a regular first-semester program (84 hours) that began in March last year, followed by an advanced second-semester program (20 hours) held this month.
They developed business administration competencies through lectures focused on strategy simulations based on various market scenarios, as well as sessions on managerial thinking and leadership mindset.
OCI Holdings’ in-house MBA program, which began in 2008, has become a cradle for nurturing core talent within the OCI Group, producing a cumulative total of over 600 graduates, including the 13th class of the Yonsei MBA and the 2nd class of the KAIST MBA.
New team leaders and team leader candidates from all affiliates are selected to participate in the program, which is held once each in the first and second half of the year in Seoul (Yonsei University Sangnam Institute of Management) and Daejeon (KAIST Department of Technology Management), with the aim of enhancing their management knowledge and leadership capabilities. Starting this year, the program will be reorganized to provide even better educational offerings.
On this day, Kim Yushin, Vice Chairman of OCI, stated in his congratulatory speech, "In an era as uncertain and rapidly changing as this, new challenges and learning are not a choice but a necessity," adding, "OCI Group will spare no investment in human resources to cultivate talent that will lead the future and to achieve sustainable growth."
