Inspection of 19 Local Businesses
Administrative Guidance Provided to Some Establishments
The Sejong City government announced on July 11 that it recently completed a hygiene inspection of food manufacturing and processing businesses supplying products to the Sejong Local Food Direct Market Singsing Jangteo, in order to provide consumers with safe food.
From June 25 to July 8, the city inspected 19 food manufacturing and processing businesses, reviewing their hygiene management, use and storage of expired ingredients, and implementation of self-quality inspections. The results showed that most businesses maintained good hygiene standards in food production, storage, distribution, and management.
However, some businesses were found to have deficiencies in maintaining ingredient usage records and processed food production records, and administrative guidance was provided on-site. The city plans to continue providing education and guidance to these businesses to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.
A city official stated, "We will do our best to provide citizens with safe food by strengthening regular inspections and hygiene management."
