Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 10th that it had conducted the '2025 Dong Human Safety Net Training' at the city hall auditorium on the 9th, further strengthening the public-private cooperation system to address welfare blind spots.

This training was attended by approximately 100 honorary social welfare officials from each dong and members of the local social welfare council. It was designed as a practical program to enhance their capabilities in identifying households in crisis in the field.

In particular, the lecture by Kwon Jonghee, CEO of Global NLP Coaching Academy, focused on improving on-site response skills, such as identifying welfare blind spots and effective communication methods with residents.

Baek Kyunghyun, mayor of Guri, stated, "As the local social welfare environment becomes more complex and diverse, organic cooperation between the public and private sectors is more important than ever," and added, "We will continue to communicate to eliminate welfare blind spots and build a robust welfare safety net."

Meanwhile, the city has established a human safety net consisting of 758 honorary social welfare officials, who are local residents with an interest and passion for welfare, and 138 members of eight local social welfare councils. They are actively leading efforts to identify and support those in welfare blind spots. The city also plans to further strengthen its proactive welfare response system in collaboration with local residents through regular training and workshops going forward.
