On July 10, the committee is meeting with six major economic organizations, including the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Korea Employers Federation, the Federation of Korean Industries, the Korea International Trade Association, the Korea Federation of SMEs, and the Korea Federation of Middle Market Enterprises, to listen to corporate opinions regarding artificial intelligence (AI), growth engines, and trade issues related to small and medium-sized enterprises. This comes after a roundtable discussion with major companies such as Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor on July 9, as the committee continues to meet with economic organizations in succession to identify challenges on the ground.

From the committee, members of the second economic subcommittee, including lawmakers Wi Seongon and Yoon Junbyung, are in attendance.

Cho Seungrae, spokesperson for the committee, explained, "We will strive to contribute to enhancing national competitiveness by communicating broadly with companies and organizations, listening closely to challenges on the ground, and supporting Korea's growth."

On the same day, the first social subcommittee of the committee held a roundtable discussion at the Korea Employers Federation to discuss national policy tasks in the field of employment and labor. The meeting gathered opinions on issues such as wage arrears, industrial safety, and the revision of the labor union law, as well as on the development of policy pledges and national policy tasks in the employment and labor sector.

The committee stated, "We will thoroughly review opinions from the field and develop national policy tasks that will enable us to faithfully implement policy pledges in the employment and labor sector, with the goal of building a 'labor-respecting society.'"

Meanwhile, from July 11 to 14, the committee will recruit 'Youth National Policy Planning Committee Members' and hold a town hall meeting to gather opinions on the policy tasks of the Lee Jaemyung administration. Anyone aged 13 to under 19 can participate by applying through the committee's website. The total number of members to be recruited is 55. Spokesperson Cho added, "We will create an opportunity to hear what the future generation and youth think about the new government's national policy tasks for Korea."
