Applications for the consumption coupons can be submitted both online and offline starting July 21. For offline applications, residents can visit one of the 20 community service centers located throughout Seongbuk District. Applications must be submitted at the community center corresponding to the applicant’s registered address.
To minimize initial congestion and facilitate a smooth application process, a weekday-based application system will be implemented during the first week, according to the last digit of the applicant’s year of birth. ▲Monday: 1, 6 ▲Tuesday: 2, 7 ▲Wednesday: 3, 8 ▲Thursday: 4, 9 ▲Friday: 5, 0 ▲Saturday and Sunday: all eligible applicants may apply.
In preparation for the main application period, Seongbuk District has established the TF to proactively respond to government policy by preparing application manuals, conducting public outreach, and carrying out on-site inspections in advance.
The TF is led by Vice Mayor Choi Kyungjoo, with the Director of the Administration and Culture Bureau serving as deputy leader, and is comprised of three working teams: the Eligibility Review Team, which is responsible for verifying applicant eligibility, reviewing appeals, and making and notifying final beneficiary decisions; the Operations Team, which oversees the overall planning and management of the consumption coupon program; and the Human Resources Management Team, which handles staff deployment, the setup of on-site application spaces, and call center management.
Seungro Lee, Mayor of Seongbuk District, stated, “This consumption coupon program will serve as an important catalyst to revitalize the local economy,” and added, “All public officials in Seongbuk District will do their utmost to ensure that every resident can receive benefits without any inconvenience.”
