The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea announced on the 8th that Kim Gilpyo, Vice President of Ssanggyo Sutbul Galbi, recently donated 10 million won for the Happy Summer Fund.
The donation ceremony, held on the 7th at Gwangsan District Office, was attended by Park Byungkyu, Mayor of Gwangsan District; Kim Gilpyo, Vice President of Ssanggyo Sutbul Galbi; Koo Jaegil, President of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea; and Lee Sangcheol, representative of Gwangju Honor Society members.
The donated funds have been designated for Gwangsan District and will be used in full to support low-income residents in Gwangsan District, as well as underprivileged social welfare facilities and organizations within the district.
In May 2021, Vice President Kim joined as the 131st Honor Society member in Gwangju, pledging to donate 100 million won within five years. Along with Kim Changhoe (the 33rd Honor member in Jeonnam) and Song Sunhee (the 64th Honor member in Jeonnam), representatives of Ssanggyo Sutbul Galbi, he is practicing community sharing as part of the Family Honor Society.
Vice President Kim stated, "In order to repay the love that local residents have shown to Ssanggyo Sutbul Galbi, I will actively continue sharing activities to support neighbors in welfare blind spots around us."
