Jangan-eup in Gijang-gun, Busan (headed by Park Kyunghee), in collaboration with local residents, has installed a new tourist photo zone at Imrang Beach, attracting the attention of visitors.
Recently, Jangan-eup completed the 'Imrang Beach Photo Zone Installation Project' in cooperation with the Jangan-eup Residents' Autonomous Committee (chaired by Park Seyul).
This project was promoted as part of the 2025 Gijang-gun Residents' Participatory Budget project, with the aim of improving the local landmark's environment and revitalizing tourism.
The photo zone was created with motifs of moonlight and waves. During the day, it offers a space to take photos with the open sea as a backdrop, while at night, visitors can capture the gentle moonlit scenery. The photo zone is emerging as a romantic resting place and a popular spot for social media among tourists visiting Imrang Beach.
Park Seyul, chairperson of the Residents' Autonomous Committee, said, "This photo zone project is especially meaningful because it was planned and carried out directly by the residents themselves. We will continue to actively discover various resident-led projects that can highlight the charm of our village."
Park Kyunghee, head of Jangan-eup, also stated, "This project, which created a new local attraction together with the residents, is particularly significant. We will spare no administrative support to ensure that the residents' participatory budget system can make a real contribution to the community."
Imrang Beach is one of the representative beaches in Gijang-gun, attracting numerous vacationers every summer. With the installation of this new photo zone, the appeal of marine tourism is expected to be further enhanced.
