New Brand Apartment 'Jeonju Raon Private Festive' to Launch in Wansan-gu, Jeonju in July

There is growing interest as news emerges of new apartment launches in promising regions that have seen heated subscription demand in recent years.

Jeonju in North Jeolla Province is a prime example. This city has maintained a strong subscription atmosphere even amid a nationwide real estate downturn. According to Korea Real Estate Board’s Cheongyak Home, all apartment complexes launched in Jeonju from 2023 through June 2025 recorded excellent subscription results.

Specifically, by June 2025, two apartment complexes in Jeonju offered a total of 1,055 units (excluding special supply), attracting over 20,000 subscription applications. Last year, three apartment complexes drew as many as 104,800 applicants, resulting in a high competition rate of 93.6 to 1.

Amid this intense subscription demand, housing prices are also clearly on the rise. According to the Korea Real Estate Board, the average apartment sale price in Jeonju increased by 8.92% over the past two years. This is more than four times higher than the average increase of 1.92% for apartments in non-metropolitan regions (excluding the Seoul metropolitan area and major cities) during the same period. It is also 1.27 percentage points higher than the nationwide average increase of 7.65%.

Real estate experts commented, "Jeonju is one of the rare regions where steady subscription demand has been observed even during the nationwide real estate slump," and added, "The high competition rates and strong demand from actual homebuyers are not just temporary phenomena, but rather reflect the region’s residential appeal and expectations for future value. Therefore, interest in the area is likely to continue."
