The Color of My Heart Is BLACKPINK! Full Group Returns, 'Jump' with 78,000 Fans [Review]

World Tour Returns After 1 Year and 10 Months
New Song "Jump" Premieres at Goyang Concert

The Color of My Heart Is BLACKPINK! Full Group Returns, 'Jump' with 78,000 Fans [Review] BLACKPINK members are greeting fans on the stage at the 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR IN GOYANG' held on the 5th at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. YG Entertainment

"You are now watching the clumsy BLACKPINK after a long time." (Ros?)

"We've never been good at giving speeches." (Jennie)

Returning as a full group for the first time in 1 year and 10 months, BLACKPINK appeared relaxed and confident. The charms they honed through solo albums and overseas activities shone even brighter on stage.

On the 5th and 6th, approximately 78,000 people gathered at the 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR IN GOYANG' held at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. All seats, including those with restricted views, were sold out for both concerts. The audience seats were filled with the pink 'Byongbong,' BLACKPINK's official light stick, and cheers and singalongs continued throughout the performance.

The show opened with 'Kill This Love.' As the intro began, pink fireworks lit up the sky, announcing BLACKPINK's return. This was followed by a series of hits including 'Pink Venom,' 'Playing with Fire,' 'Whistle,' and 'Lovesick Girls.'

The new song 'Jump' was unveiled for the first time on this stage. It is their first new song in 2 years and 8 months since their second full album 'BORN PINK' in 2022. 'Jump' is a western-style EDM track with a vibrant beat, also infused with a lively Korean rhythm. Jennie said, "It's meaningful to start our concert in Korea as a full group for the first time in two years."

Introducing 'DDU-DU DDU-DU,' Ros? shared, "When this song was released seven years ago, I never imagined we could fill a stadium like this. Now that the dream has come true, I am so happy." The excitement continued with performances of 'BOOMBAYAH,' 'As If It's Your Last,' and 'Forever Young.'

During the solo stages, each member's unique character and musical direction stood out clearly. Jisoo performed 'earthquake' and 'Your Love,' Lisa showcased 'New Women' and 'Rock Star,' and Jennie presented 'Mantra' and 'Like JENNIE.' Jennie's stage, in particular, drew the loudest cheers of the night. Ros? sang 'APT.' and '3AM,' expressing, "It's an honor to sing here in Korea, my home."

The audience response was also enthusiastic. Lee Jiseon (23), who attended the concert with her father, said, "The members' solo stages were impressive," and added, "Each solo song showcased a different color, yet the BLACKPINK identity was clearly maintained." There were especially many Chinese and American fans in attendance. Jennie Zhu (25), who came with a friend, said, "'Jump' felt different from what I expected, but I want to listen to it again as a digital release."

This tour also included efforts for sustainable performances. YG Entertainment signed an agreement with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) under the UN and became the first in Korea to purchase P-REC (Peace Renewable Energy Certificate), an international certificate for renewable energy produced in conflict regions. Through this, part of the electricity used for the Goyang concert and other events was offset, and the proceeds from the certificate purchase will be reinvested in supplying electricity to higher education institutions in South Sudan.

Inside the venue, paper-packaged 'BLACKPINK Water' and recycling bins were provided. There was also a 'YOUR GREEN STEP' carbon footprint measurement experience zone, and a climate change response campaign booth operated in partnership with the British Embassy in Seoul.

While efforts for sustainability stood out, some complaints were raised about obstructed views from certain seats. The installation of a large screen in front of the N3 section caused a 'zero view seat' issue where the stage was blocked. Although the organizers had notified during ticketing that there could be view obstructions due to structures, some audience members still expressed disappointment on site.

Starting with the Goyang concert, BLACKPINK plans to continue their world tour in 16 cities around the world, including Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Bangkok, and Tokyo.
