Delivering inspiration through a series of exhibitions
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) will present a series of themed special exhibitions throughout July at the 'BNK Busan Bank Gallery,' a space for citizens to enjoy art in everyday life.
On July 4, Busan Bank announced, "At the BNK Busan Bank Gallery in Sinchang-dong, we will consecutively hold exhibitions designed to foster emotional connection among visitors, featuring works by artists who express moments and emotions of life through art."
First, until July 7, artist Jeon Seoa's solo exhibition, 'Friends: Companions,' will be held. Focusing on the daily lives of companion animals, this exhibition goes beyond the simple meaning of pet ownership, warmly depicting the emotional traces left by shared existence and offering gentle comfort to visitors.
Next, starting July 10, the second solo exhibition of Stella Ahn, a vocalist and painter, titled 'I, ICH, Na,' will take place. This exhibition explores themes of multiple identities and self-exploration through pen drawings and acrylic paintings, allowing viewers to glimpse the artist's complex worldview, including urban solitude, human emotions, and the boundaries of time and space. The works directly reflect the artist's life experiences across Germany, the United States, and Korea.
From July 18 to 25, the senior artists' group 'Nadoart' will present the exhibition 'Now, and Drawing.' Through various media such as watercolor, colored pencil, and acrylic, this exhibition delivers messages of life's joys and sorrows and recovery, offering deep reflection on 'life itself' beyond mere works of art.
The final exhibition of July, 'MIXT (Mixed+Craft),' will be held from July 28 to August 4. Featuring craftworks created with diverse materials and sensibilities such as ceramics, glass, and metal, the exhibition adds new textures to familiar emotions. Seven artists will participate, showcasing the diverse spectrum of contemporary crafts that combine emotion and functionality.
Kim Yongkyu, Head of the Management Strategy Group at Busan Bank, stated, "BNK Busan Bank Gallery is an open space where art meets daily life," adding, "We will continue to organize exhibitions where artists and citizens can empathize together."
Since opening the gallery in 2011, BNK Busan Bank has held approximately 340 exhibitions and has contributed to the revitalization of local art through free venue rental and curator support. For exhibition and venue inquiries, please visit the BNK Busan Bank Gallery website.
