This training was organized to review the results of the risk assessment conducted in the first half of 2024 and to practically verify the establishment and implementation of the safety and health management system in accordance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.

In particular, as the number of accidents at social welfare facilities has recently increased, the training focused on strengthening risk management capabilities to protect vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

Professor Yoon Ki Hyuk stated, "As various industrial and civil accidents continue to occur, safety issues at social welfare facilities have emerged as a significant social concern," and added, "This training is meaningful in that it strengthens the system for field staff to proactively recognize risks and respond quickly."

Nakdong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center received the Grand Prize in the 'Excellent Safety Operation Program' category in the 'Social Welfare Facility Evaluation' last year, and Professor Yoon Ki Hyuk personally provided consulting for the establishment and implementation of the risk management system at that time.

Director Kwon Ki Cheol said, "Professor Yoon Ki Hyuk's professional advice has provided practical help in improving the safety management capabilities of our staff and establishing a culture of safety within the organization," and added, "We will continue to strive to create a welfare environment where both employees and users can feel safe."

The Serious Accidents Punishment Act requires workplaces with five or more employees to conduct semi-annual checks on the following: implementation of risk assessments, allocation and execution of safety and health budgets, appropriateness of management responsibility performance, collection and implementation of improvement measures based on employee opinions, and fulfillment of statutory obligations.
