Zeroweb, Etiverse, and VANTIQ Join Forces
Jeonju University (President Park Jinbae) announced on July 3 that it has signed a four-party Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Zeroweb, Etiverse, and VANTIQ to establish an 'AI-based digital care and smart city safety platform.'
The signing ceremony, held the previous day at the Grand Hall of EL Tower in Seoul, was attended by Lee Haewon, Vice President for Industry-Academic Cooperation at Jeonju University, Professor Oh Dani from the Department of Social Welfare, Lee Jaehyun, CEO of Zeroweb, Kim Junseong, Executive Director of Etiverse, Miguel Nhuch, CRO of VANTIQ, and Lee Hyeonggeun, Country Manager of VANTIQ Korea, as well as other representatives from each organization.
Through this agreement, the participating organizations plan to collaborate in various AI-related fields, including: ▲demonstration and joint research and development of real-time digital care service models; ▲joint promotion and establishment of AI-based data analysis and digital twin technologies; ▲industry-academia-research education and youth talent development programs; ▲joint response to government policy projects and local government-linked initiatives in the AI sector; and ▲global market entry, joint brand establishment, and marketing activities.
Jeonju University, Etiverse, and VANTIQ had already signed a three-party MOU in April of this year to build an AI-based local community safety net, working together to establish an efficient and stable local safety system through AI technology.
With this new four-party agreement, Zeroweb, an IT company providing digital care monitoring services for seniors living alone and single-person households, has joined the collaboration. This is expected to further invigorate research and talent development related to AI-based digital care, which is a major trend of the times.
In particular, as the government accelerates efforts to foster AI talent and related industries with the goal of becoming one of the 'world's top three AI powerhouses,' Jeonju University is also strengthening its K-Tech capabilities based on AI. The university is thoroughly preparing for the official designation as a Glocal University to ensure that the region, the nation, and the university can grow together.
Lee Haewon, Vice President for Industry-Academic Cooperation at Jeonju University, stated, "I believe this agreement is a meaningful achievement that demonstrates the university's evolution beyond a simple educational institution to become a practical platform driving digital transformation in the region and the nation." He added, "By strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration and expanding our global network to enhance digital public safety and digital care services based on AI, we will create positive changes so that the university can contribute to the development of the region and the nation."
