Busan Urban Corporation Conducts Consulting to Improve Organizational Culture for Sexual Harassment and Bullying Prevention

Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) conducted the "2025 Workplace Sexual Harassment and Bullying Prevention Organizational Culture Improvement Consulting" in May, under the supervision of the Busan Metropolitan Government's Rights Protection Officer.

This consulting targeted 11 organizations, including public corporations and foundations under the Busan Metropolitan Government, as well as invested and funded institutions. Five internal and external experts from the city participated, with the aim of preventing workplace sexual harassment, sexual violence, and bullying, as well as strengthening the organizations' ability to respond to incidents.

The consulting focused on the appropriateness and effectiveness of five areas: ▲incident handling procedures, ▲implementation of preventive measures, ▲operation of preventive education, ▲the role of grievance counselors, and ▲organizational culture improvement.

Busan Urban Corporation received an "excellent" evaluation in the consulting results from the Busan Metropolitan Government on June 25, particularly for incident handling, preventive measures, the appropriateness of related regulations, and the establishment and implementation of prevention plans. However, some deficiencies in related guidelines were pointed out, and the corporation plans to address these issues moving forward.

President Shin Changho stated, "We will thoroughly review the results of this consulting and promptly address any shortcomings to foster a healthy organizational culture characterized by mutual respect and consideration."
