The group BTS will make a full-group comeback with a new album in the spring of 2026. Along with the release of the new album, they are also planning to embark on a world tour for the first time in about four years.

On July 1, BTS announced via a live broadcast on the global fan community platform Weverse Live, "A group album is scheduled for release next spring," adding, "Starting in July, we will officially gather in the United States to work on music and prepare for the tour." They continued, "This album will be a true group album that reflects the thoughts of all members," and stated, "We plan to return to our roots and work with a fresh mindset."

RM said, "Starting next spring, we will also embark on a world tour. We plan to visit various places around the world, so please look forward to it." Jungkook commented, "This album is a project where we return to our beginnings," while Jimin said, "We will prepare quickly so that fans do not have to wait long." Jin added, "Even while traveling between different countries, we will be able to participate."

BTS's full-group comeback and world tour will be the first in about four years since the anthology album "Proof" in 2022 and the solo concert "Yet to Come in Busan." The world tour will also be their first since "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE" in 2022.

The live broadcast that day was the first group broadcast in about two years since September 2022, and surpassed a total of 7.3 million real-time plays.

BTS members began their mandatory military service sequentially, starting with the eldest member Jin's enlistment in December 2022. Last month, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook were discharged, and Suga also completed his social service, meaning all seven members have now fulfilled their military obligations.

Since their debut in 2013, BTS has achieved a total of six No. 1 albums on the US Billboard main album chart "Billboard 200" and six No. 1 songs on the main singles chart "Hot 100," setting unparalleled records in the global music market.

J-Hope will perform as a headliner at "Lollapalooza Berlin," which will be held in Berlin, Germany, on July 12 and 13.
