In particular, the day's activities focused on "livelihood and welfare," implementing communication-based administration that spanned all generations, from a Silver Generation meeting to support for small business owners. Mayor Nadongyeon personally addressed various issues, including inspections of major welfare facilities, on-site briefings about the establishment of an emergency medical system, and seeking ways to revitalize the local economy, spending time to empathize with citizens.

Mayor Nadongyeon began his schedule at 7:30 a.m. by visiting the Senior Welfare Center and starting with a Silver Generation meeting. Attendees included executives from the Yangsan branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association and heads of senior associations from towns and neighborhoods. At this meeting, the mayor shared the achievements of senior welfare policies over the past three years of the 8th administration and requested cooperation to expand support for seniors' social activities.

During the breakfast meeting that followed, Mayor Nadongyeon listened directly to the suggestions and difficulties of the elderly in a relaxed atmosphere, gathering valuable opinions for the development of intergenerational empathy policies.

On-site inspections of welfare facilities continued. The mayor checked the progress of the Yangsan Welfare Hub Town construction and held a meeting with representatives and users of institutions scheduled to move into the facility, which is set to open in March next year. The Welfare Hub Town, with one basement floor and five above-ground floors, will house seven organizations, including the Yangsan Welfare Foundation, Welfare Center for the Disabled, a branch of the Senior Welfare Center, and the Women's Welfare Center. In meetings with users of the Childcare Comprehensive Support Center and Sinabro Welfare Center, the mayor listened to on-site opinions regarding childcare policies and disability welfare issues, seeking ways to improve policies.

In the afternoon, communication for local economic revitalization continued in the Ungsang area. At a luncheon meeting with 50 members of the Ungsang Businessmen's Association and major local entrepreneurs, the mayor listened to suggestions and difficulties regarding regional economic development.

The mayor then inspected the status of the light Line cultural space being created under the Hoyagang Bridge, a core part of the Hoyagang Renaissance Project. He also checked the completion of the second phase of Myeongdong Park and announced plans to build a swimming pool and museum storage facility to further activate the park.

Notably, Mayor Nadongyeon visited the "tentatively named Ungsang Jungang Baek Hospital," which is preparing to reopen after closing last year. He promised active administrative support and specific assistance measures for its successful reopening, and concluded the day's on-site administration with a briefing explaining the overall status of emergency medical system development in both eastern and western Yangsan.

In the Nambu Market area, a citizen festival was held, featuring an on-site quiz show and an open concert. The "Yangsan Toktok, Mayor's Companion" quiz show, hosted by MC Lee Manki and Soyoumi, introduced major Yangsan City issues such as the 2026 Year of Visiting Yangsan and the Hoyagang Renaissance in an entertainment format. At the "Open Concert Companion" held on a special stage, singer Lee Chanwon and others performed, promoting the 2026 Year of Visiting Yangsan, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the city's elevation to city status, and delivering hope and inspiration to citizens.

Mayor Nadongyeon also attended a dinner meeting for small business owners hosted by the Yangsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he discussed ways to revitalize the local commercial sector, which has been struggling since COVID-19, with over 80 participants, including the Small Business Association, traditional market merchants' associations, and representatives of chamber member companies.

Mayor Nadongyeon said, "Through communicating with citizens at the forefront of livelihood issues, I have once again realized the importance of revitalizing livelihoods and growing a hopeful future together. I will mobilize all administrative resources to achieve tangible changes that citizens can truly feel, paving the way for a new leap forward for Yangsan City."
