Sejong Appoints Former Health Minister Kwon Deokcheol as Advisor
Kwon Deokcheol to Support Regulatory and Healthcare Teams with Over 33 Years of Experience
On July 2, law firm Sejong announced that it has appointed Kwon Deokcheol, former Minister of Health and Welfare, as an advisor.
Kwon Deokcheol, former Minister of Health and Welfare, began his public service career by passing the 31st Civil Service Examination and has worked in the health and welfare sector for over 33 years. He has held positions such as Director of Healthcare Policy, Director General for Healthcare Policy, and Director General for Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Kwon, who earned both his master's and doctoral degrees in public administration from the University of Speyer in Germany, served as the first Vice Minister of Health and Welfare under the Moon Jaein administration, President of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and the 54th Minister of Health and Welfare.
As an advisor to Sejong's Regulatory Group and Healthcare Team, Kwon is expected to play a key role across the entire medical, pharmaceutical, medical device, and biohealth industries.
